What is Sky?

Sky is your in-app weather companion. Ask it anything about your forecast—why it's so muggy, when the storms arrive, what a front means—and it answers in plain language. Your messages are sent to Anthropic to generate replies, so please don't share anything sensitive.

How do notifications work?

If you opt in, Why Weather can send severe-weather alerts, a daily morning briefing, and a heads-up when rain is about to start at your location. You can turn each type on or off in Settings → Notifications.

How do I manage my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed and managed through your Apple account. On your iPhone, open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions to view, change, or cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep premium access until the current period ends.

Where does the weather come from?

Why Weather draws on several trusted sources—Open-Meteo, NOAA/NWS, OpenWeatherMap, Foreca, and Apple WeatherKit—and is transparent when they disagree. Forecasts are predictions, not guarantees; for safety decisions, always rely on official sources.

How is my data handled?

As little as possible—no accounts, no ads, no trackers. See our Privacy Policy for the details. To remove your notification data, turn notifications off in the app, or email us.
